About My Clients
I work with men that deal with anxiety, depression, and complex trauma. Clients usually share experiences of being called distant by people in their lives, struggles with perfectionism, difficulties feeling and expressing their emotions, or even feeling "stuck" in their lives.
My Background and Approach
In practice, I incorporate insight-oriented, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive approaches to collaborate with my clients in helping them develop insight into the tools they already possess to meet their individual needs. I operate from the perspective that the people are the experts on their own lives, and I support my clients to feel empowered and fulfilled in their process of personal growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
First and foremost, the relationship is the most important aspect of treatment. Without trust and comfort, no approach or length of experience can compensate for successful therapy. I'm also aware that trust is earned and I work hard to nurture my relationships with clients to create a space for them to share their stories. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, it has been a personal goal of mine to provide affirming care to people within my community who have their identities minimized and dismissed.
