About My Clients
My clients want to harness their strengths to: find meaning, purpose; manage ADHD; be rid of anger, abuse, control; heal a relationship, make friends, find belonging; cope with stress, anxiety, depression; process grief, loss; overcome shame, confront hard truths; try something new, give up something hard; navigate a life change; understand their true self; accept themselves, and learn to love who they are.
My Background and Approach
As a person-centered existential humanist, I take a judgment-free, trauma-informed approach to counseling, focusing on the whole person: your mind, body and spirt. My work incorporates existential therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), internal family systems (IFS), mindfulness-based skills and meditation, and depth psychology. I can provide preparation, harm reduction and integration sessions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Everyone is doing their best at any given time. Whatever is going on, whatever happened, you don't have to bear the weight alone. You can learn to cultivate the courage to be who you really want to be, to love who are, and to live with confidence. You deserve that from yourself. Most of our values were given to us, but we can discover what our own values are, what gives each of us meaning and purpose, what is fulfilling. When we know who we really are and start to feel empowered, the sky is the limit. It can be unnerving to explore the deeper aspects of our mind, but I'll be there with you on your journey. There's a light inside you, and I want to help you find it.
