About My Clients
I have a passion for working with individuals impacted by chronic illness informed by my experience supporting adults living with HIV and my own personal experience living with an autoimmune condition. I have experience working with young adults in a college counseling center, as well as children and families healing from sexual abuse and sexual assault. I enjoy supporting adults of all ages who are navigating any of the transitions that life brings!
My Background and Approach
I hold a MSW from Smith College School for Social Work in Northampton, MA and a BASW degree from University of Washington School of Social Work. My professional experience includes medical case management at a non-profit agency, supporting individuals living with HIV while navigating barriers like homelessness, chemical dependency, and lack of access to health insurance. I have also worked with young adults in a college counseling center, as well as children and families impacted by sexual abuse and sexual assault. Outside of the clinical social work world, I have past experience as a 911 call-taker and dispatcher, which allowed me to build my skills around short-term intervention, crisis management, and de-escalation.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I identify as an Asian-American woman who is an ally of the LGBTQ+ community. I have volunteered with several organizations, supporting causes such as food stability, adult literacy, immigrant rights, and animals living in shelter. I am a lover of music and books!
