About My Clients
I love working with people who are stuck or at a standstill... experiencing a painful transition and ready to break through. As both a therapist and coach, I love working with people who are normally pretty capable, but are struggling with one or more challenges that are stopping them from meeting their greatest potential.
My Background and Approach
As an LMFT, I am skilled at thinking holistically. I see people through the context of their whole life's experiences, including their environment, culture and family of origin. As an existentialist and yogi, I also bring with me a profound appreciation for the struggles of life and the path of awakening to our real selves. As an artist, I am a natural born creative and love to apply activities and discussions that seek to think 'outside the box'. I have been in the helping field as a counselor or therapist for over 12 years. Moreover, I have been on the 'path' of self-actualization from my earliest memories. It is this dedication to my craft that gives me eclectic skills and experiences to help a variety of conditions that people experience that tear them down. As someone who has 'walked the walk' and been gifted a variety of challenges to overcome, I seek to help others transform the pain of their current experiences into the fertilizer necessary that ultimately helps them grow.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we are all born with a unique potential and that it is up to us to figure out what that is and to live it with the best of our ability. I also believe that our challenges are trigger points that help us to clarify where we might be off on our path. I believe that deep transformation and change is possible, even if it might take some time. I also believe in the power of the energy-exchange between two humans that occurs in the process of therapy and all the ways this can bring light to things that we may not have seen before.
