About My Clients
Are you and your partner(s) navigating new life transitions, or finding yourself in frequent conflict with each other? Are you wanting to reconnect, grow, and rebuild your relationship? My specialization is in couples/relational therapy, and I cherish being able to witness and facilitate a relationship's growth and people learning to communicate with each other. Additionally, I have specific interest in those whose issues involve: sex and sexuality, infidelity, and trust work.
My Background and Approach
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Family Studies and Human Development from the University of Arizona with a minor in counseling. After a year of working in an LGBT adolescent research lab, I pursued my Masters of Science in Couples and Family Therapy from the University of Oregon. It was during my graduate training that I found my passion for working with couples and relationships. My training has especially prepared me to help couples and families. However, the most essential element of the therapeutic process is your relationship with your therapist! I know how daunting therapy can seem at first, so I work hard to put my clients at ease.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we are all just doing the best we can. No one gives us an instruction manual on how relationships are supposed to work, but we all want to be in relationships that make us feel good about ourselves and help us grow. I strive to provide culturally-informed services to all of my clients. I aim to get to know your various identities and how they intersect to inform your unique lived experience. My goal is always to provide a safe and open space for healing and growth. As a female person of color, I understand how important this can be. I welcome all those with marginalized identities, including but not limited to those who identify as: LGBTQIA+ individuals and couples Polyamorous or consensually nonmonogamous individuals and couples Kinky/BDSM individuals and couples
