About My Clients
I provide individual therapy to adults (ages 20+). I have a special interest in providing EMDR therapy to help clients experience healing faster. I have a special interest in working with survivors of trauma (single and multiple traumas) and adults of childhood trauma. I also work with clients experiencing a range of problems, including depression, anxiety, and major life transitions, among others.
My Background and Approach
My experience in psychotherapy/counseling began over 20 years ago and has included various populations who have shared stories of rejection, abandonment, and spiritual and emotional brokenness. I help clients to recognize their strengths and resiliency as they work towards healing. I have a special interest in trauma and working with first responders and the military. I am Certified in EMDR and Trauma. I also rely heavily on my training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I offer compassion and empathy from a strength-based approach.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Listening to others share their stories, while helping them work towards healing, is one of my greatest joys. I also love to dance, watching old movies/TV shows, and drinking sweet tea.
