It is important to me that clients feel comfortable in sessions. I believe that having a therapist who is a good fit is the most important piece in making progress. I adjust my sessions for each person I work with depending on what is bringing them in for counseling and their interests. Our sessions might include writing exercises, art activities, games, meditation, or just talking. You can always give me feedback about what you think will work best for you. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is one of my specialities and I incorporate DBT skills into sessions. These skills help individuals stay present in the moment, manage big emotions, decrease behaviors that are having a negative impact in their lives, and improve relationships.
