About My Clients
I have experience working with trauma survivors who are ready to integrate past experiences to improve their daily lives. We work on all types of somatic skills and overall functioning/happiness/joy/stability. I also enjoy working with adolescents and adults who are motivated to improve/change their daily lives.
My Background and Approach
My experience lies mostly in working with adolescents and adults for crisis intervention, yoga techniques, mindfulness training, anxiety, depression, trauma, school-related concerns, domestic violence, sexual assault, LGBTQIA+ communities, sports psychology, and spirituality/faith-based concerns. I have five years of experience teaching yoga and meditation as well. My greatest goal in therapy is to allow clients to feel seen and heard by creating a safe space with them. I am an eclectic counselor using a holistic framework, person-centered techniques, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy approaches. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am an active ally of the LGBTQIA community and supporter of the BLM movement, figuring out every day how I can be an active participant in changing the social structure to improve justice and equitable living.
