About My Clients
Anger management groups are available to anyone interested in learning strategies for improving communication and emotion regulation.
My Background and Approach
There are ten 1 1/2 hour sessions in the series. The group meets standards for being 'evidence-based' and utilizes cognitive-behavioral (CBT) concepts. Concepts covered include: gaining a better understanding of emotions, strategies for improving impulse control, recognizing how thoughts and belief systems impact behaviors, and developing both long and short-term strategies for change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have been in social services for more than 20 years and have worked with a very broad range of people. Much of my work has been supporting some of the most disenfranchised people in our community. Aside from facilitating anger management groups, I also am the founder and director of EmployAbility which helps people with significant mental health concerns in their efforts to reach their employment goals.
