Hello! I am so glad that you're here! Sometimes life can feel overwhelming, and it can feel like you're walking through a fire. During this time, you might be walking through anxiety, grief, trauma, struggling to manage ADHD, or many other issues. My goal is to walk alongside you through the fire, helping you grow and emerge stronger, healthier, and better equipped to handle life's challenges.
My Background and Approach
I offer traditional/non-faith-based counseling and Christian counseling in a safe and non-judgmental space that allows clients to explore their strengths, heal from trauma and past hurts, and grow into their full potential. For Christian clients, I provide scripturally sound, biblically based counseling. I have over 20 years of experience working in the healthcare industry with training in nursing, counseling, and coaching. My experience as a nurse and military parent has given me a unique perspective when working with first responders, medical professionals, and military members and their families. Additionally, my experience in working with grief and shame has provided a foundation for working with men and women who have experienced abortion. I use an integrated approach to counseling that is grounded in a Person-Centered framework. I integrate therapeutic modalities that include Neurofeedback, Brainspotting, Acceptance and Commitment, Cognitive Behavioral, and other therapies.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have witnessed significant healing in clients through Neurofeedback, Brainspotting, and other modalities when therapy is tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the foundation of effective therapy, and I believe in a strong, collaborative relationship between the client and counselor.
