About My Clients
I work with individuals from age 3 to age 65 in a variety of areas including anxiety, depression, trauma, play therapy, LGBTQIA+ concerns, somatic issues, personality disorders, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and cultural assimilation. I look forward to working with you on your journey of self-discovery.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor practicing in the State of Florida. I completed a graduate program studying psychology, and another studying mental health counseling, both with Summa Cum Laude distinction. I hold a Registered Play Therapist certification, and I am currently working on obtaining a certification in Adlerian Play Therapy (expected November 2021). I am a member of the American Counseling Association, Association for Play Therapists, Florida Mental Health Counselors Association, and North American Society of Adlerian Psychology. I utilize an integrative therapeutic approach that combines cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques with Adlerian theories that promote balance between mind, body, spirit, and social environments. I utilize evidence-based practices to support clients with emotional, relational, and situational issues.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe each person has the power to change their future. By identifying core strengths and correcting problematic thought patterns, I provide support to assist clients in facilitating lasting, positive life changes.
