About My Clients
Have you ever felt like your life is an emotional rollercoaster? I certainly have. Those rides can be thrilling at times, but can also leave you tense and terrified afterwards. Maybe you feel hopeless, mentally exhausted, stuck in a relationship, or overwhelmed with ongoing intrusive thoughts. Perhaps you are not satisfied with your overall quality of life, or you are unsure of how to move forward. Whatever brought you here is valid, and I believe that you are ready to work on it.
My Background and Approach
With years of experience as a crisis counselor on the Suicide Lifeline, I've supported individuals during their darkest moments. I have confidence in my capacity to empower individuals and assist them in discovering a reason to greet each new morning, even when it may seem contrary to their immediate desires. By fostering a collaborative and empathetic therapeutic bond, my goal is to cultivate an atmosphere where my clients can nurture their genuine selves. I utilize a personalized and integrative therapy method, drawing from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while incorporating humanistic and existential perspectives that emphasize the significance of meaning-making, acceptance, and a holistic understanding of each individual.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
To me, therapy is a place for healing, growing, setting goals, accepting “unacceptable” and embracing change. Inevitably, therapy calls for vulnerability. With vulnerability being the key component to experiencing all emotions, the therapy is a place where all those emotions (the good, the bad and the ugly) are welcomed, acknowledged, and appreciated. I believe that everyone can live an extraordinary and fulfilled life.
