About My Clients
I work with individuals who may be experiencing a broad range of issues and concerns such as working through past trauma, complex PTSD, intergenerational trauma, navigating complex family dynamics, life transitions, first gen experiences, or wanting to learn effective coping skills to deal with anxiety, and depression.
My Background and Approach
I received my Bachelor of Social Work from York University in Toronto Ontario Canada and my Masters in Social Work from The University of Utah in Salt Lake City. My therapeutic practice is guided by a trauma-informed lens, rooted in feminist multicultural therapy. I utilize EMDR, mindfulness, somatic practices, CBT, DBT, & ACT techniques. I strongly believe that you are the expert of your life and approach this work with genuine curiosity and non-judgment. We will work collaboratively to establish goals and a treatment plan that works for you. It is my priority to create a safe and inclusive space for you to process and explore your feelings.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am passionate about breaking the stigma surrounding mental health and helping individuals find healing in their life. My aim is to work collaboratively with you to empower and support you through life’s ups and downs. As a daughter of Salvadorean and Nicaraguan immigrants, I utilize my lived experience in the work that I do with clients. Scholarships and pro bono services available to eligible individuals
