My Background and Approach

I am a licensed social worker with over ten years of mental health experience. I received my undergraduate education from Syracuse University and graduate education from the University of South Carolina. My previous work experience expands a wide range of clients and mental health presentations including anxiety, depression, PTSD and trauma related disorders and perinatal mental health. I have experience working with adults, teens, veterans, college students and pregnant and postpartum women. My approach to therapy included elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Strength-Based Therapy. I also certified in perinatal mental health (PMH-C). Your care is grounded in your individual goals, and sessions are tailored to meet your current needs. I bring an open-minded approach that values curiosity, respect for individuality, and the importance of establishing practical, actionable goals.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Life isn’t always easy. At some point, we will all inevitably experience grief, loss, trauma, or other major transitions, whether expected or unexpected. While these challenges can shift our perspective on life, and even be devastating at times, they don’t have to define our story. With support, we can begin to tap into our own strength and resilience, allowing ourselves the time and space to process, heal, and move forward, confidently, into a new chapter. In creating, Cardinal Hope and Healing, my mission is to fosters a safe, affirming, and supportive environment where clients can explore their challenging experiences and begin to make sense of them. My work is grounded in a focus on helping clients feel informed, supported, and empowered in their own process. My background also allows me to use a holistic approach that extends beyond traditional therapy, incorporating advocacy, education, access to resources and stigma reduction.
