About My Clients
I am a Pasadena psychotherapist treating teens & young adults who struggle with anxiety about the future & career choices, dating concerns, self-esteem challenges, or feelings of depression and worthlessness. I specialize in helping adolescents through the transition into college & young adulthood, providing CBT & other skills to strengthen their ability to cope, & teaching things like assertive communication, mindfulness, and setting appropriate boundaries.
My Background and Approach
I obtained my Master's in Social Work from the University of Southern California (USC) in 2008, and have spent the past 17 years providing psychotherapy to couples, adults, teens, and children in a variety of settings. I have trained in a wide range of treatment modalities, so I usually start with getting to know my client before choosing a treatment approach in collaboration with them. I will create a safe and judgement-free therapy space for teens to explore thoughts, emotions, and personal experiences in order to create healthier ways to respond to life stressors and develop ways to improve self-esteem, increase self-awareness, and maintain positive relationships. I provide an eclectic & holistic approach rooted in attachment theory. If you're stressed about the future or going through something difficult that's hard to talk about, you don't have to go through it alone. I would be honored to be a source of support for you during a time when you need it most.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Regardless of the modality chosen, I believe in focusing on building a strong therapeutic relationship first. This is where the magic of psychotherapy lies. I hope my clients can truly feel felt when they're talking with me.
