About My Clients
You are the one who holds everything together—capable, dependable, and thoughtful—yet inside, you feel stretched thin. You may be navigating postpartum changes, carrying the mental load, or feeling the strain of uneven support. At times you feel overstimulated, resentful, or emotionally drained and wonder why it feels so hard to keep up. You want boundaries without guilt, clarity instead of constant overwhelm, and to feel grounded, confident, and connected to yourself again.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Holistic Health Coach with a BA in Psychology and Sociology from Brown University, an MSW from Columbia University School of Social Work, and health coach certification through Institute for Integrative Nutrition. My approach is person-centered, strengths-based, and collaborative, blending relational therapy, CBT, DBT-informed tools, mindfulness, and somatic awareness. I use evidence-based approaches to help women understand patterns shaped by past experiences while building practical skills for the present. I specialize in postpartum and maternal mental health, women’s issues, and stress, helping women untangle overwhelm, lighten the mental load, strengthen emotional regulation, and build clear boundaries. Sessions are thoughtful, practical, and focused on lasting change—supporting greater resilience, clarity, confidence, and a grounded connection to self.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should be a space where people feel genuinely seen, respected, and safe enough to speak honestly about what they are carrying, even the parts they rarely say out loud. As a Black multi-ethnic woman and mother of two strong-willed girls, I understand firsthand the complexity of balancing motherhood, work, emotional demands, and the many roles women often hold at once. I know how easy it is to keep functioning on the outside while quietly carrying mental load, responsibility, and exhaustion underneath. I value compassion, cultural humility, emotional honesty, and practical support that helps people feel both understood and empowered. My work is grounded in respect for each person’s lived experience, identity, family story, and the larger systems that shape well-being. I believe women deserve spaces where their emotional load, transitions, and unseen labor are met with care, depth, and thoughtful support rather than judgment.
