About My Clients
The people I work with are dealing with some combination of trauma, anxiety, depression, and the relational fallout those things leave behind. Some have tried therapy before. Some are skeptical. I'm here for both. I work well with people who want to understand themselves, not just manage symptoms. Understanding yourself changes everything, from your mindset to your relationships, and I look forward to figuring it out with you.
My Background and Approach
I graduated from Antioch University (M.A. Psychology, 2023) and spent several years doing community mental health work with teens and families before moving into private practice. Prior to that, I worked in creative fields, which shaped how I think, how I listen, and my habit of looking for the thing underneath the thing. My approach is psychodynamic and existential: we work on understanding the patterns your history created and what they're costing you now. I use EMDR for trauma processing and Interpersonal Psychotherapy when relational dynamics are central. Sessions feel like real conversations. I follow your lead on pace, but I'll challenge you when it serves your growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I'm an immigrant, and I've worked with first-generation and immigrant clients navigating the particular weight of living between cultures: the grief, the loyalty binds, the parts of yourself that don't translate. I also have experience working with LGBTQ+ and trans clients and bring genuine respect and low judgment to questions of identity and transition. I've spent my life caring about sustainability, animals, and the natural world. I understand the grief, fear, and helplessness that can come with watching climate change progress. If that's part of what's bringing you in, you won't have to explain it to me, and we can work through the feelings that come up. Because I also believe accessible care matters, I offer a sliding scale and work with insurance through Headway for clients who need it.
