About My Clients
You may be navigating identity, relationships, cultural belonging, or major life transitions. I especially support first-generation immigrants, bicultural and multicultural clients, and parents navigating fertility, pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, and the transition into parenthood. I also work with clients experiencing anxiety, self-doubt, relationship challenges, or feeling disconnected from themselves while adjusting to new roles, expectations, or chapters of life.
My Background and Approach
I am completing my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Palo Alto University, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy. As a Clinical Mental Health Counselor Intern, I provide therapy under the supervision of Linda A. Ramsey, MA, LPC, LMFT-S. My training includes ACT, attachment-based approaches, Polyvagal Theory, and somatic practices. I integrate these approaches to help clients better understand themselves, navigate emotions and relationships, and develop greater self-awareness and self-compassion. As a bilingual and bicultural first-generation immigrant, I bring a multicultural lens to my work and a sensitivity to identity, belonging, cultural adaptation, and family dynamics. I am specifically interested in working with parental and reproductive mental health, perinatal transitions, identity development, cultural adjustment, anxiety, relationships, and life transitions. I especially enjoy supporting clients during seasons of change, when they are redefining themselves.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
At the heart of what I stand for is more compassion for ourselves and one another, especially during the messy, uncertain seasons of life when we are becoming someone new. I believe therapy begins with genuine human connection. I value curiosity, compassion, cultural humility, and the belief that each person is the expert on their own experience.
