I integrate EFT and the Gottman Couples Therapy Method (Level l & ll trained) into Couples Therapy. I offer pre-commitment counseling as well. For Family therapy I am also emotionally focused as well as focus on the structure of the family. For both families and partners I also look at attachment styles; how they were formed and how that relates to current relationships. I am a trained Sex Therapist and work with partners dealing with a variety of sexual concerns.

The language we use and the stories we tell ourselves and others are incredibly important. I seek to assist clients in expanding their stories about themselves and others and to let new stories take shape as we work together. Journals, letters, and poetry may be used as well as general dialogue about the meaning of the scripts and roles we are handed by society, caregivers, and others.

For individuals I use a combination of modalities from attachment to EFT, to CBT. I also use the Polyvagal theory to examine an individuals nervous system responses. Sex therapy can also be utilized individually. Above all, I often am solution oriented with individuals describing a specific and acute concern. I seek to get you from a place of distress to a place of peace.

I specialize in Sex Therapy. Sexual shame and trauma, concerns around sexual dysfunction or desire, dealing with the intersection of parenthood and sexuality, avoiding sex altogether, contending with out of control sexual behavior, or opening up a relationship are areas of focus. Sex therapy offers a safe place to explore these concerns.
