About My Clients
As a mental health clinician, I have treated adult men and women recovering from substance abuse, eating disorders and trauma by utilizing Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). In an outpatient setting, I have provided therapy to adults with symptoms of depression, anxiety, grief, relationship issues, and PTSD.
My Background and Approach
I have worked in the social work field for over 10 years and from serving children in after-school and special education programs, providing case management services to survivors of domestic violence, and supporting seniors in hospice care.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My goal as a therapist is to help clients find relief and understanding through exploring their current struggles and redefining their past. As a trained EMDR therapist, I know how emotions, feelings, and thoughts can become disorganized due to distressing memories. I believe it is important to break through the emotional blockages keeping you from living an authentic life. As we move through this process, I intend to guide, empower and support you. We will work together to establish goals and a plan to overcome your challenges. You are not alone. The journey to healing takes effort. I am ready to accompany you!
