About My Clients
You may be dealing with anxiety, grief or burnout while continuing to show up at work or care for other people. Perhaps a major change has left you feeling unsteady, or you’re finding it hard to slow down without feeling guilty. I work with adolescents and adults, including caregivers and helping professionals. Therapy is available in English or Tagalog. We’ll start with what feels most pressing and move at a pace that works for you. To work with me, book through my website.
My Background and Approach
My experience in hospice care, medical social work, crisis response and community mental health has taught me how much it matters to feel safe when talking about something difficult. I bring a calm and grounded presence to therapy, taking time to understand what has happened and what you need now. I use CBT, DBT and mindfulness-based therapy to help with anxiety, trauma, grief, stress and major life changes. Our sessions may involve noticing unhelpful thought patterns, learning ways to manage intense emotions or practicing something between sessions. I’ll support you without simply agreeing with everything. When it may help, I’ll ask a difficult question, offer honest feedback or encourage you to move beyond your comfort zone. I’m also pursuing a PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, which informs my understanding of work stress, burnout and human behavior.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of what they have been through or how they are coping. Your feelings and experiences matter, but they don’t have to define what happens next. Therapy should be a place where your voice is taken seriously and your cultural background is not treated as an afterthought. I’ll listen carefully, check in often and make room for the parts of your experience that may have been overlooked elsewhere. I also believe change becomes more manageable when we break it down. We can focus on smaller goals first, recognize the progress you are making and build from there.
