About My Clients
Hi! I'm so glad you made it here. Maybe you are exploring what it means to live authentically. Perhaps you have old wounds that never quite healed and are sneaking their way into your present, in the form of depression, anxiety, PTSD, or addiction. Having worked with diverse clients with varying backgrounds and experiences, I believe that every client is unique and that you are ultimately the expert on yourself, which is something I will incorporate in my work with you.
My Background and Approach
This odyssey is ultimately about you but here is some info about me to help you decide if you’d like my support along the way. I graduated from Villanova University where I got my BA and later my MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am a National Certified Counselor and Certified Trauma Professional. My clinical experience has included various levels of care, including working with clients in inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and general outpatient settings. Throughout my experience, I have helped clients navigate various concerns and co-occurring issues, primarily addiction and trauma. I offer an eclectic approach that can differ from client to client depending on their personal needs and will often include some combination of different evidence-based practices. Wherever you are on your own personal journey, I will work at your pace and bring non-judgmental warmth to each session while I strive to provide a caring atmosphere where you can feel safe.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Having gained most of my experience working with women with trauma and addiction, I have found the importance of being able to provide a safe space for every person I come across in both my personal and professional life. I have a particular passion working with LGBTQ+ individuals, and it is my goal through every step of my career path to be able to provide trauma-informed, quality care to fellow members of this community. I am also a lover of nerd culture and love to incorporate Geek Therapy into my work wherever clinically appropriate. In addition to incorporating this in individual sessions, I offer group therapy using tabletop roleplaying games as a therapeutic tool for those that may find it helpful. In my free time, I enjoy reading, playing video games, watching tv/movies, and playing D&D, all while cozying up with a comfy blanket and a nice, hot cup of tea. If that all sounds good to you and you think we might be a good fit, please don’t hesitate to contact me today!
