About My Clients
Many of the people I work with are first-generation adults, students, creatives, caregivers, immigrants, and members of Latinx communities who navigate multiple worlds every day. They may be experiencing anxiety, grief, burnout, family responsibilities, cultural expectations, identity questions, or the feeling of “in between.” You don’t have to explain your culture before talking about your pain.
My Background and Approach
Whether you're navigating anxiety, life transitions, family expectations, cultural identity, migration, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, therapy can become a space to reconnect with your own stories rather than the stories others have written about you. My work is informed by Narrative Therapy, attachment-based approaches, psychodynamic perspectives, and community-based healing practices. Together, we explore not only personal experiences but also the broader cultural, historical, and systemic contexts that shape our lives. Therapy can be a place where your language, history, relationships, and community are recognized as part of your healing—not something that needs to be translated or left at the door.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing doesn’t happen by separating ourselves from our identities—it happens by reclaiming them. Whether through conversation, storytelling, creativity, or reflection, therapy becomes an opportunity to reconnect with preferred stories of identity, resilience, and belonging. My clinical work is deeply informed by community practice through Casa Colibrí, where I facilitate culturally grounded workshops integrating storytelling, creativity, movement, and collective care. My approach is collaborative, curious, and deeply respectful of each person’s knowledge about their own life.
