Currently offering in-person appointments on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and teletherapy appointments on Thursdays. If you feel out of touch with your own life, if people say that you worry “too much,” if a particular event has taken away your sense of well-being, psychotherapy can be an excellent resource and activator for change. But it takes courage to recognize when your coping strategies are no longer working and to reach out for support.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Psychologist, primarily trained in psychodynamic and family systems practices. specialized in working with adults struggling with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, traumatic experiences, and acculturation/identity issues. I am bilingual (English-Spanish) and bicultural, and have an interest in the experiences and needs of multicultural clients. I tailor my therapeutic approach to meet the needs and goals of each client, because this should be about you, whether you yearn for peace, love, authenticity, balance, or even if you do not know what is missing in your life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the power of relationships. We show ourselves, and become ourselves, through our relationships with others. I seek to provide a safe space for collaborative exploration of your thoughts and feelings, including those that may have been pushed aside. By working together to give voice to your desires and fears, and develop non-judgmental awareness of your inner conflicts, you can learn how to give yourself what you need and build resilience.
