About My Clients
I treat clients facing anxiety, depression, intergenerational trauma and life/work stressors. I have a soft spot for and experience in working with POC and Asian/Asian-American clients. Regardless of background, life can have ups and downs, and I want to provide you with the tools to manage the challenges and hiccups you face.
My Background and Approach
It's important to me to use a compassionate and collaborative approach to help you reach your goals in therapy. I want you to feel welcome, safe and supported in my practice, as I work from a non-judgmental, inclusive and non-discriminatory framework. We will work collaboratively to unpack the concerns that brought you to seek support. I can help you to identify any unhelpful beliefs that may cause grief, anxiety and depression. I have attended multiple trainings on trauma- based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. If you're struggling with mental health issues, you could be someone that is hard on themselves. As a starting point of treatment, I can help you cultivate a healthy dose of self-acceptance and self-compassion.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe you deserve to exist in a mind that is at peace, even in the midst of the stress and noise of reality. There are several things that are essential to a peaceful mind, including having a balanced outlook, a strong support system, and healthy ways of caring for yourself. It's not unusual for any or all of these things to be off kilter, at times. This is where therapy comes in, whether you're here for a short time or a long(er) time. There are times you need a safe space to feel heard, supported and to be given the tools and guidance to overcome the things that brought to therapy. I'd like to meet you where you are and help with providing you the tools to live with more peace and freedom.
