About My Clients

Are you an adoptee, prospective adoptive parent, adoptive parent, or any other member of the adoption constellation? I specialize in adoption related wellness, and trauma informed parenting. My goal is to provide a space of empathy and compassion that honors the adoption experience in an honest and healing way.

My Background and Approach

I graduated with my MSW in 2010 from the University of Wisconsin- Madison. I have since devoted my practice to assisting others overcoming trauma, specifically as it relates to foster care and adoption. I believe one of the best ways to advocate for adoptees is through adoptive parent education and resources and so I provide trauma informed parenting and processing for adoptive parents and caregivers.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Adoptees are 4 times likelier to commit suicide than their peers and I have a deep passion for making mental health more accessible and approachable for adoptees and their families. As a BIPOC therapist I believe BIPOC voices are often left out of the healing narrative and as a result often shamed and spoken over rather than listened to. My goal is to honor your story and experiences as valid and real as you process your past and ways to move forward. As a transracial adoptee, I understand the balance of loss, gains, grief, and loss, and I am committed to helping other adoptees feel validated in their experiences.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
