My Background and Approach
In 2014 I received an associate degree in Paralegal Studies from Ivy Tech University, Indianapolis. I quickly realized my passion was to help others be successful in their lives, so I went back to school and received my Bachelors Degree in Social Work from Indiana University Purdue University, Indianapolis. I completed my Masters Degree in 2019 in social work from Indiana University Purdue University, Indianapolis. I received my LCSW licensure in August 2022 and am in the process of receiving my licensure in addictions counseling LCAC. My approach focuses on a person-centered aspect utilizing strength’s based and empowerment theory. Assisting individuals in identifying their abilities from within themselves. I use CBT to help reframe negative thoughts and DBT to assist individuals in finding ways to accept themselves, feel safe, and manage emotions.

I believe that every individual has the ability within themselves to maintain a healthy and successful lifestyle, through identifying personal strengths and resiliency. My goal is to assist you in this process by offering a safe and trusting environment. I know this can be a challenging process, but I will be here with you every step of the way in your journey to a healthy and successful lifestyle. I know that life can be a challenge, but some of the most rewarding experiences can come from different challenges we have faced in life. I believe that through our work together we will be able to help improve your mental health and you will be able to live the best version of your life!
