About My Clients
My clients are adolescents and young adults struggling with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, disordered eating, self-injury, suicidal ideation, substance use, or trauma. I focus on helping my clients identify and achieve their personal goals to improve their daily functioning and overall well-being. I use an evidence-based approach to collaborate with clients to identify treatment goals, work to improve coping skills, and work toward the life they want to live.
My Background and Approach
I received my BA from Harvard University and my MA and PhD in Clinical Psychology from University of Wisconsin – Madison. I provide services to older children, adolescents and adults utilizing an evidence-based, cognitive-behavioral approach that includes mindfulness and acceptance-based treatments. I have specialized training in mood and anxiety disorders, eating disorders, suicidality and self-injury, trauma, substance use, and adolescent development. I am currently a professor in the PhD program in Clinical Psychology at Seattle Pacific University as well as Co-Founder and Chief Clinical Officer at Joon Care. My approach to clinical care is collaborative, evidence-based, and strengths-focused to help clients improve coping skills, manage depression and anxiety more effectively, improve sleep, reduce self-injurious or disordered eating behaviors, and overall improve their quality of life.
