About My Clients
Finding a therapist with whom you feel safe and comfortable is essential for a good outcome. Clients have told me that I am easy to connect with and put people at ease quickly. Creating a warm, respectful and non-judgmental environment is my first priority. I also feel that laughter/humor can be very therapeutic when appropriate!
My Background and Approach
My wide breadth of training has given me ample experience in working with children, adolescents and adults. As a doctoral-level psychologist with a background in both community mental health clinics and a primary care/medical setting, I have enjoyed working with individuals, couples and families with a variety of presenting concerns. I particularly enjoy working with women concerning confidence, body image and/or self-esteem. It is difficult to be female-identified in our society and not struggle with these at some point in life. I utilize a strength-based perspective around women's issues which has yielded positive results for many of my clients. I also consider myself to be a proud ally of the LGBTQ+ community, and strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for all.
