About My Clients

You’ve been living with chronic pain or illness for months or years. You’ve been to countless appointments, gotten multiple opinions, and tried what seems like every treatment there is, and you’re still struggling. You feel exhausted, frustrated, and isolated. You feel trapped by pain and symptoms, and you just want your life back. You want a different way forward. Your symptoms are real, and you don't have to figure out how to heal alone.

My Background and Approach

I provide specialized care for complex, poorly understood, and often "invisible" conditions, such as back pain, fibromyalgia, migraines, POTS, dysautonomia, EDS, ME/CFS, and many others. I work with people who want a different approach to the challenges of pain and illness when standard treatment hasn't been helpful. I'll help you learn how to navigate your symptoms, understand the complex connections between mind and body, build practical skills to manage pain and physical limitations, adapt to changes in your health, navigate unpredictability, address grief and loss of identity, process difficult medical experiences, and reduce frustration and other strong emotions. I'll work to help you expand what feels possible and develop the life you deserve - one that is meaningful and not defined by pain or illness.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe, and my own experience tells me, that most people don't have to learn to "live with" their pain or chronic health condition. With knowledgeable, specialized treatment driven by solid science and evidence, many people can improve their symptoms and live well. Many people with pain and illness have felt judged, not heard, or not believed at times. Your symptoms are very real, and there is a way forward. I also believe that it is critical for any effective therapist to respect and support all aspects of a patient’s identity. I enjoy learning about and engaging with backgrounds, identities, and customs that are different from my own.
