About My Clients

If you're feeling overwhelmed, confused by your emotions, or wondering why you can't just "move on," you're not alone. Many people who reach out to me feel exhausted from holding it together while quietly questioning why things still feel so hard. I view much of emotional pain through the lens of grief and loss. Grief isn't only about death. It comes from trauma, divorce, discrimination, health challenges, and the list goes on. I help clients navigate their losses and honor their trauma.

My Background and Approach

I strongly believe that healing and personal growth require the development of meaningful connections. I believe in the healing power of the therapeutic relationship. My approach is trauma informed, compassionate and client centered. I make no assumptions about your journey. I will rely on you to educate me with your story at your pace. I will encourage you, nudge you and challenge you to explore your thoughts, feelings and beliefs, but ultimately it is up to you where we go on this journey. Grief and trauma live in the body, not just the mind. Our work together will be about helping the nervous system feel safer and your inner world feel more manageable. Over time, you will feel more grounded, less overwhelmed by your emotions, and kinder to yourself. You will learn how to sit with your feelings, set boundaries, ask for what you need, and create a life that feels more balanced and aligned.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I became a therapist because therapy changed my own life, and I know how powerful it is to finally feel seen and understood. I bring 25+ years of experience as a therapist, professional training, and lived experience to this work. I am a mother of three, an adoptee, and someone who has navigated profound loss and major life transitions firsthand. These experiences shape how I show up with deep compassion, humility, and care. I believe that we all have the capacity to heal and that the resiliency of the human spirit is unmatched. For fun, I enjoy life music, hiking in the mountains, walking all around this great city, feeling the sun on my face, being outside, swimming in the ocean, eating good food and most importantly spending time with the people that I love (with any luck coffee and chocolate will be involved). I would be honored to walk alongside you on this journey, please reach out to me and we can discuss how we might work together.
