About My Clients
Clients in my practice have a history of developmental trauma. I utilize DBT to help clients gain skills to build a life worth living. Once they have skills, clients move on to process trauma through psychotherapy. I tailor my practice to meet the specific needs of clients and teach strategies to meet goals. I enjoy supporting clients in pinpointing the causes of issues and work together to remove negative behaviors and thought patterns.
My Background and Approach
I am intensively trained in DBT, DBT- PE, and Psychotherapy DBT reminds us to be compassionate, and take a non-judgmental stance when working with clients. I work with clients by teaching skills to decrease harsh self talk and increase self compassion.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My personal beliefs encompass the benefits of the therapeutic process. While therapists can be the change agents by meeting clients where they are, we can also learn things from clients as well.
