About My Clients
I specialize in working with 20-30 something women and non-binary folks navigating disconnection from themselves and the natural world. Many of my clients are LGBTQ+ and/or neurodivergent.
My Background and Approach
I practice counseling through a shame-free, strengths-based, and trauma-informed lens. I am LGBTQIA+, disability, and neurodivergence affirming, and bring my lived experience as a queer neurodivergent person to this work. My approach is rooted in a feminist and person centered foundation and integrates mindfulness and ecotherapy practices. I am IFS Level 1 trained and have completed basic training in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). I hold a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University Seattle, a certificate in Ecotherapies from Lewis and Clark College, and a Bachelors of Arts in Environmental Studies from UW Seattle. My breadth of clinical work includes college counseling centers and group practice settings, with additional experience running groups at community organizations. Outside of counseling, I worked for years in the nonprofit world, specifically doing environmental restoration, green job training, and environmental and anti-bias education.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I consider mental health and well being to be deeply connected to the identities that we hold and how they intersect with the environments and systems that we navigate. The world can feel like a challenging place for many of us, and our histories and life circumstances add complexity to this experience. My personal background and beliefs and previous work experience have informed my counseling identity and passion for equitable, accessible, and culturally sensitive mental health care.
