About My Clients
I work with adults and older adults who may be navigating anxiety, depression, substance use, grief, life transitions, or challenges related to ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). I provide a supportive, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, build coping skills, and work toward greater self-understanding, resilience, and overall well-being.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that each person’s experiences are unique. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and comfortable being themselves. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic approaches, tailoring treatment to each client’s individual needs, strengths, goals, and pace. CBT can help identify and reshape unhelpful thoughts and patterns, while psychodynamic work can support deeper exploration of emotions, relationships, and experiences that may influence your current life. Together, we explore the concerns that bring you to therapy, develop practical coping strategies, and work toward meaningful change. My goal is to help you gain insight, strengthen resilience, build confidence, and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and my role is to support, guide, and empower you along the way.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in creating a world where every person is treated with dignity, compassion, fairness, and respect. I value science, evidence, and continued learning, while also recognizing the importance of understanding each person’s individual experiences and perspectives. I believe strongly in equality and in the fundamental right of every person to be treated fairly, regardless of race, identity, background, or circumstances. I support the Black Lives Matter movement and believe that acknowledging and addressing racial inequities is an important part of creating a more just and inclusive society. I have a strong sense of empathy for those who may feel overlooked, unheard, or marginalized, and I have always been drawn to supporting the underdog. As a therapist, I strive to bring these values into my work by creating a space where clients feel respected, accepted, and safe to be themselves. I believe everyone deserves to have their voice heard, and their experiences validated.
