I focus on trauma treatment by using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) & Acceptance and Commitment Therapy My goal is to help you move from surviving to thriving and build a life you love!
My Background and Approach
I am trained in EMDR for trauma treatment. I also use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients focus on values and build a meaningful life for themselves. I use Gottman Therapy principles in couples therapy to reconnect and build sustainable, healthy relationships. The key to successful therapy is your willingness to engage and trust the process, as well as clinical insight and know how to move you from where you are to where you want to be. By using a few different therapy techniques at different times, clients are able to use various skills and ways of understanding themselves to improve their overall functioning.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
A sense of belonging is key in the therapy I practice. I honor your strength and problem solving skills that got you to this point. However, sometimes we need to learn new ways to cope and solve problems and that's where I come in. Together, we create our therapeutic relationship that is focused on the goals you want to achieve. I will help you learn to hold younger versions of yourself with compassion and turn towards the person you want to be in the world.
