About My Clients
I work with adults who are struggling with the effects of trauma, including childhood abuse, sexual assault, domestic violence, attachment wounds, and dissociation. Many of my clients feel stuck in patterns of anxiety, people-pleasing, self-doubt, relationship difficulties, or emotional overwhelm. They are often insightful and resilient but tired of merely surviving. Together, we work toward healing, self-trust, healthier relationships, and a stronger sense of self.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist with over a decade of experience helping adults recover from trauma. My specialties include sexual abuse, domestic violence, complex PTSD, attachment trauma, dissociative disorders, anxiety, depression, and relationship concerns. I believe symptoms often make sense when viewed through the lens of a person's experiences. Rather than asking "What's wrong with you?" I ask, "What happened to you, and how did you learn to survive it?" This perspective helps clients replace shame with understanding and self-compassion. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and tailored to each client's needs. I integrate EMDR, attachment-focused therapy, somatic interventions, DBT skills, and parts work to help clients process painful experiences, regulate emotions, and create lasting change. My goal is to help you move beyond survival mode and build a life that feels more connected, authentic, and fulfilling
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every person deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion. I am committed to creating an affirming space for people of all races, cultures, religions, sexual orientations, gender identities, relationship structures, abilities, and life experiences. As a trauma therapist, I am passionate about helping survivors reclaim their voices, rebuild trust in themselves, and create lives that reflect their values rather than their wounds. I recognize the impact that systems, relationships, and social environments can have on mental health, and I strive to approach each client with curiosity rather than judgment. Outside of therapy, I enjoy gardening, reading, spending time in nature, and connecting with friends and family. I believe healing happens through connection, authenticity, and the courage to show up as ourselves, even when life has been difficult.
