About My Clients
My clients are typically in their 20-40s and wanting to gain better insight in who they are, manage their anxiety and also deepen their relationships with friends , family, or significant others. My clients are motivated, sensitive, and willing to do the work.
My Background and Approach
My graduate work internships were in government entities, such as Department of Mental Health in Los Angeles and in child protective services. Through this experience, I have worked with myriad of youth and adults struggling with anxiety, depression and trauma. I also have experience as a therapist in corrections providing counseling for inmates with mental health issues. I am also sex therapist in training to help people struggling with sexual issues, especially navigating sexual shame and exploration. My approach- I'd first like to have a conversation with you to explore your past then find ways to assist you in the present, the here and now.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In therapy we will process your life experiences that affected how you view your inner world. We will learn ways to attune yourself to your feelings, practice healthy communication, and set boundaries. Just as habits were learned, we can unlearn unhealthy patterns that no longer serve us. I can guide you to gain confidence and better your relationship with others.
