About My Clients
Are you hoping for support navigating feelings of depression and anxiety? Support understanding and integrating experiences of past trauma? Do you feel a sense of disconnection with yourself? with others? Would you like to explore and understand the role cultural identity has on your experience? I can support you and provide guidance as we explore, understand and find ways to make shifts to create balance.
My Background and Approach
I received my Masters degree in Counseling from Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling in 2013. Additionally, I am a trained Sensorimotor Psychotherapist (Level 1) and I have a decade of experience working with survivors of interpersonal and sexual violence. I identify as Latinx and am a native Spanish speaker. As a Somatic Therapist, I integrate a body-centered approach in which the wisdom of the body guides the therapeutic process. Within this approach, I encourage clients to listen and honor the signals that the body provides. Alongside the somatic approach, I incorporate traditional talk therapy methods where I support clients to explore complex emotions, thinking patterns and experiences.
