About My Clients
I am particularly skilled in working with teens and adults who are experiencing symptoms of depression and/or anxiety, OCD, panic attacks, post-traumatic stress, and ADHD. I also have over 20 years of experience in the field of educational/school psychology. For my adolescent clients, I will consult with the school district to ensure continuity of care. I am also happy to help parents navigate the often daunting special education process on behalf of their children.
My Background and Approach
I believe that psychotherapy can be transformative. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, my approach when working with clients is active, warm, open, and collaborative. I am here to actively and empathically listen to you without judgment, help you make sense of difficulties, and work through them by taking big issues and making them more manageable. Together, we will problem-solve in ways that work for you. I seek to help you find strength and empowerment through expressing and understanding your life's unique narrative, and together, through the therapeutic process, we will work to help you lessen life's stress, grow as a thinking, feeling individual, and thrive in your relationships. I work with adolescents, adults, and families. I have an eclectic, interpersonal and interactive approach to psychotherapy, often with a focus on empirically-based interventions from cognitive-behavioral, family systems and psychodynamic domains.
