Dr. Berman is an EMDR International Association trained EMDR provider, with specialty training in Somatic and Attachment Focused (S.A.F.E) EMDR, which brings in transformational aspects of body centered psychotherapies while maintaining fidelity to the EMDR model.

Dr. Berman offers HeartMath® biofeedback training for stress, anxiety and self-regulation, allowing you to effectively manage stress, self-regulate emotions and sustain resilience. Dr. Berman uses clinical hypnosis to enhance psychotherapeutic outcomes for a range of concerns.

Dr. Berman offers the gold standard evidence-based treatments for PTSD, including PE and CPT. She offers EMDR, including EMDR Intensives, which can be a good option for clients that have been engaged in therapy and have a desire to do intensive trauma work over a short period of time. Dr. Berman's trauma therapy includes somatic and attachment approaches, that provide the transformational aspects of body centered psychotherapy, tailored to your specific needs.

Dr. Berman provides grief and loss informed psychotherapy, which provides the powerful and necessary experience of having the magnitude of your loss witnessed and reflected back, and other compassionate and effective approaches informed by world renown grief expert, David Kessler, designed to facilitate the capacity to be with one’s unique experience of grief and to promote healing from the devastation of loss.

Dr. Berman has advanced specialty training in the use of clinical hypnosis in psychotherapy through the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH), including specialty training in the use of clinical hypnosis for chronic pain. She currently serves as Vice President on the Executive Board of the Oregon Society of Clinical Hypnosis, an ASCH component society.
