Therapy should be challenging, rewarding, and most of all aligned with your personal goals for growth. My approach is to be your guide, shaping the path, pointing out opportunities for growth, challenging you to think in new ways, and sharing options for strategies to manage what's interfering with enjoying your day to day life.
My Background and Approach
I have spent the past 30 years working with families experiencing trauma, grief and loss, addiction, and mental health issues. I took from this experience two key points that I bring to therapy: 1. Everyone is capable of change 2. No situation is hopeless I believe in finding real solutions to problems we face primarily using a cognitive-behavioral approach "if we change our thoughts, we can change our feelings." I provide a supportive, judgment free environment for you. My best coping skill is humor so expect some levity along the way too!
