My Background and Approach
Therapy is a sacred space of safety, trust, and healing. I offer a warm and supportive space where you can be fully present and authentic without worry of judgement. I use EMDR and somatic therapy to support you with working through traumatic experiences so that anxiety, fear, and a host of other negative emotions and thoughts can be resolved. I also use cognitive behavioral therapy, motivation interviewing, mindfulness, and variety of other tools to help you be successful and become the person you want to become. I combine humanistic, solution-focused, person-centered, and other approaches as I work to help you accomplish your goals. I seek out the tools that can be helpful you to and thus have a variety of ways I may approach a challenge or difficulty you may be experiencing. I invite you to a place of compassion and support. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that you have the ability to change, grow, and become the best version of yourself. I believe in an abundance of possibilities for you. We all have struggles and challenges. We all have things in life that provide limits and I believe there is a way to overcome all challenges and become our best self, no matter the limitations that life my try and place on us. I believe each of us has power within ourselves to do better and be what we want to be; it is a matter of finding that power and the pathway to success. I believe that a great way to help you succeed is to create a space where you can be your authentic self, along with a safe place to share, so that I can walk with you on your life journey. We don't need another person telling us what to do or how to do it. I want to be the person that comes along side of you, walks with you, supports you, and encourages you on your journey for as long as you need me to walk beside you.
