Online Therapy for ADHD and Autistic Couples

Licensed Professional Counselor in Dallas, TX

About My Clients

I specialize in working with neurodivergent couples (ADHD, autism, AuDHD) who love each other but struggle with communication, emotional regulation, and feeling understood. I also work with neurodivergent individuals navigating relationships, burnout, and identity. My clients often include people who've tried traditional therapy and felt misunderstood or pathologized.

My Background and Approach

Therapy offers a space to better understand how ADHD and autism shape relationships and daily life in ways that traditional approaches often overlook. Partners may find themselves stuck in cycles of misunderstanding—one feeling unheard or ignored, the other feeling constantly criticized or overwhelmed. Emotional intensity, sensory differences, and communication gaps can leave both feeling disconnected despite genuine care for each other. Support is also available for individuals navigating the unique challenges of neurodivergence, such as late diagnosis, burnout from masking, identity exploration, and the ongoing effort to find balance in a world that often feels mismatched. The work focuses on building understanding, improving connection, and creating practical changes that honor both partners’ needs and neurotypes.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I'm deeply neurodivergent-affirming. ADHD and autism aren't disorders to fix — they're neurological differences to understand and work with. Masking isn't healing. Forcing yourself to function like a neurotypical person isn't the goal. Understanding how you're actually wired is. I'm LGBTQ+ affirming and welcome all identities, orientations, and relationship structures. Many of my neurodivergent clients are also queer, and I understand how these identities intersect. I believe traditional couples therapy often harms neurodivergent relationships by pathologizing differences and offering strategies that don't work for ADHD/autism. You need someone who understands rejection sensitivity dysphoria, alexithymia, executive dysfunction, sensory processing differences, and how these show up in relationships. I'm passionate about supporting late-diagnosed adults navigating identity shifts after discovering they're autistic or ADHD.
