I have over 23 years of experience in dealing with patients that struggle with anxiety, obsessive worry, rumination, panic attacks, OCD & irritational fears. I teach my patients to learn anxiety management tools & how their own thoughts can fuel anxiety & led to obsessive worry. I also use CBT-(Cognitive Behavior Therapy) to help them identify & challenge negative self-talk & thinking/behavior patterns that have been keeping them stuck and adding to their anxiety level.

I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)which is a strength-based approach to psychotherapy based on solution-building rather than problem-solving. It is also a short-term goal-focused evidence-based therapeutic approach, which incorporates positive psychology principles and practices which helps clients focus on current circumstances and future hopes, instead of present problems and past cause.

This approach helps me teach my patients to identify and then challenge any negative self-talk, cognitive distortions or unhealthy thinking/behavior patterns that have been keeping them stuck. This approach is a good way for people to be able to take better control of their internal dialogue & let go of any dysfunctional thinking/behavior patterns, which helps with decreasing their anxiety level, improve mood management, decreased stress level and also allows them to have a better life overall.

This individualized approach allows me to combine/use any therapeutic tools/strategies that would be beneficial to each individual. This helps me be able to alter my therapeutic approach based on each specific patient needs, since each person is different & no one approach or cookie cutter technique would be beneficial for everyone.
