About My Clients
Amelia Holgash, LCSW-C, is a licensed clinical social worker working with adults, adolescents, and children. Amelia has worked with individuals from many different backgrounds in terms of race, ethnicity, culture, religion/spirituality, gender identity, and sexual orientation. She specializes in issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief/loss, difficult relationships, and life transitions.
My Background and Approach
Amelia fosters a healing, compassionate, and empathetic environment— sprinkled with some humor— for her clients. She uses a direct yet gentle approach and helps empower individuals to enact changes they wish to make in their lives. Amelia collaborates with her clients to help them achieve their self-determined goals. She incorporates various therapeutic techniques based on each individual’s needs (cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed, motivational interviewing, and dialectical behavior therapy-informed techniques). Amelia helps individuals develop tools such as increasing self-awareness, learning coping strategies, reframing negative thoughts, and setting healthy boundaries.
