About My Clients

Let’s face it, sometimes being human is overwhelming, especially for the highly sensitive and neurodivergent. It can feel easier just to give up hope than be disappointed by people, institutions, or the collective at large again and again. It makes sense. How can you be expected to thrive in a world where you are told you’re “too much” or “not enough”? Of course you want to feel a greater sense of aliveness, freedom and belonging, but maybe you don't know where to start.

My Background and Approach

From my own lived experience, I deeply understand the distrust of any external 'authority' that doesn't support leading you back to your own wisdom. My curiosity about integrative medicine began when I was a teen researching options for my treatment-resistant, chronically ill father. Practices such as yoga, meditation, qigong, and working with plants became a way for me to quiet my mind and find that inner sense of peace I had yearned for in my younger years. Along my journey, I found my way to the California Bay Area to study at California Institute of Integral Studies, known for it's East meets West approach to psychology. In accruing my hours to become licensed as an LMFT, I enjoyed training in and offering Expressive Arts Therapy in various medical and private settings. I have particular interest in working with ADHD, neurodivergent, highly sensitive individuals, as well as folks healing from narcissistic abuse, spiritual and religious trauma.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a big believer in shifting mental health from a pathologizing paradigm to a neurodiversity paradigm, which embraces strengths within the infinite possible variations of human functioning. That is to say that 'differently wired' folks deserve spaces that meet us where we are at, rather than expecting us to 'fit in' to a world not necessarily made for us. I am particularly interested in working with individuals with ADHD and sensory sensitivities , or those who understand themselves as highly sensitive. I am deeply committed to changing the narrative of what it means to be neurodivergent and emphasize the importance of creating a life where the strengths of my clients shine.
