About My Clients
I work with people who have experienced trauma in childhood or adulthood who want to heal from the aftereffects of their experiences. I believe that many challenges you may live with daily, such as anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and more, may actually be signs of traumatic stress. Together, we can learn tools to manage your traumatic stress warning signs and work on reducing these symptoms to help you move towards the best version of yourself.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas. My job as a therapist is to help unlock what everyone already has inside of themselves. I help people who have lived through very stressful and overwhelming experiences begin a journey towards healing. I specialize in Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. We can work together online or in-person. I am a native Texan who has lived and worked internationally, developing and implementing programs for people struggling with addiction, people who have experienced trauma, individuals who have been incarcerated, children living in orphanages, and people experiencing homelessness. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I deeply believe that everyone is the expert of their own lives. As a therapist, I do not believe my job is to give you advice, but rather to ask you good questions to help you figure out your best hopes for the future. I believe in the dignity and worth of every person. I believe helping you feel safe in my office, no matter your previous experiences, is the most important thing I can do as a therapist. I believe that everyone needs a little help sometimes and it is an honor for me to be that help to others. I believe that coming to therapy is not for the faint of heart and I will celebrate with you each time you choose to walk through my office door or sign on for an online session.
