For Addiction Counseling, I utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT). DBT is a motivational model that consists of having the control of awareness to be present to an experience and it's outcome and then learning how to specifically modify your vision and get your preferred outcome. REBT consists of modifying your impractical and irrational beliefs to experience a rational and practical outcome.

I not only practice Mindfulness-based therapy but combine it with Cognitive therapy as well therefore practicing Mindfulness-based Cognitive therapy. MBCT teaches an individual to be fully present in the moment and therefore have control over their feelings and thoughts. It is a very empowering technique that leaves the client feeling confident and in control over their reactions to situations.

CBT is one of my favorite techniques! I find it to be the most practical, goal-oriented, and efficient treatment orientations. Most clients find it incredibly useful. It focuses on the way that you think and teaches you to think more rationally versus irrationally. Specific terms highlight the ways that we tend to think that don't benefit us. Learning the terms allows you to become more aware of the ways that you are thinking and then change your behavior or reaction for the better.

I have over 10 years of experience working with individuals struggling with eating disorders such as Binge-eating disorder, Anorexia nervosa, and Bulimia. I utilize multiple techniques to help with each disorder and I design my sessions to help suit the needs of the individual client. I will modify my treatment style uniquely to meet the needs of that particular client.

I have had the most success treating Anxiety disorders. Most clients end up reducing or even recovering from anxiety entirely. I find my techniques to be every successful and I have the highest success rate when it comes to helping clients reduce anxiety. I am very specific with my use of techniques and clients are able to utilize them outside of our session.
