About My Clients
LMFT Associate using SFBT to support youth, families, and incarcerated teens—focused on resilience, strengths, and lasting change
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate with a Master’s degree in Couple, Marriage, and Family Therapy from Texas Tech University, a COAMFTE-accredited program. As a Minority Fellowship Program Fellow, I received advanced training in culturally responsive, systemic care that informs my work with diverse clients. My approach is grounded in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), emphasizing strengths, goals, and practical change. I collaborate with clients to build on what’s already working and create meaningful progress. I’m passionate about working with youth, including those in the juvenile justice system. My research on recidivism among incarcerated youth in Missouri shapes my evidence-based, compassionate approach.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every person has inherent strengths and the capacity for growth, regardless of their circumstances. I view challenges as opportunities for change and focus on helping clients recognize their resilience and potential. I value authenticity, compassion, and respect, and I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and supported. I believe meaningful change happens through collaboration, trust, and a focus on each person’s unique goals and experiences.
