About My Clients
Amber works with individuals, couples, and families, offering support for a variety of issues including relationship difficulties, ADHD, life transitions, grief, stress/burnout, and complex trauma. She strives toward an affirming person-centered approach and supports folks from all different walks of life, cultural backgrounds, gender identities, sexual orientations, neurotypes, and relationship structures.
My Background and Approach
Amber’s therapeutic approach draws upon Buddhist philosophy and the notion that every human being possesses an innate clarity-- an inner "Self" harboring qualities of compassion, courage, wisdom, and loving-kindness. This aligns well with the language of Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, a technique she is training in at Clear Path. Amber approaches therapy as a collaborative process wherein clients are gently guided inward with compassionate curiosity, engaging in a process of self-exploration that allows clients to tap into their own inner resources to experience insight, healing, and growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Amber’s therapeutic approach draws upon Buddhist philosophy and the notion that every human being possesses an innate clarity-- an inner "Self" harboring qualities of compassion, courage, wisdom, and loving-kindness. We can access these qualities in and outside of session as an avenue to healing.
